Carbon Nanotubes

Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) are a cylindrical nanostructure. Nanotubes have been constructed with length-to-diameter ratio of up to 132,000,000:1, significantly larger than for any other material. These CNTs have many different properties like electronics, optics, thermal etc. that falls under nanotechnology, which are totally different from the conventional materials. These unusual properties of carbon Nanotubes, by combining with the conventional materials could reinforce it and help us to design and develop the materials of the future. Basically there are two types of CNTs, Single wall Carbon Nanotubes and Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes, and both types have their own applications.
